The BCS is being kinder this year but not kind enough

Today #4 Boise State Broncos destroyed Hawaii. Or shall I say is destroying Hawaii. Right now it is 47-2 Boise State. Talk about style points. #8 TCU destroys #16 BYU 38-7. #1 Alabama beat unrated Tennessee 10-12. They because of a last second blocked field goal attempt. Alright, if thats not enough proof for you that the BCS is messed up. #2 Florida won on a last minute touchdown against Mississippi State. #4 is better than than what Boise State was last year. I guess I shouldn't be complaining. People are saying that Boise State shouldn't go to the National Championship because they would be killed by Florida or Alabama. But, according to the scores that are above do you really think they are that much better than Boise State. What about #8 TCU? If Boise State makes a BCS bowl game, TCU might not make a BCS bowl. They are ranked #8. The BCS is being kinder, but we want more. A national championship would satisfy me. If they lose, fine, the BCS is right. The Non-BCS teams don't deserve a NT. I don't think so.

Lets get rid of the BCS.

The BCS is ruining college football. It is not getting the job done. It doesn't pair up the best teams it pair's up the biggest. It pairs up two teams who have lots of money. Cincinnati vs. Virginia Tech is a joke. Hawaii almost beat Cincinnati. Virginia Tech was supposed to be good at the beginning of the season. I thought that ended though when they lost to East Carolina. What was wrong with Boise State or TCU in that bowl. Well, I guess it is not as important as the National Championship, it is only the Orange Bowl. Only Boise State and TCU played in the Poinsettia Bowl. Ever heard of it?

What is the BCS?

BCS stands for Bowl Championship Series. It is a complicated formula deciding the champion of NCAA FBS football. The BCS gives automatic bids to these conferences: Pac 10, ACC, Big East, Big Ten, Big 12, and the SEC. The conferences that don't get a automatic bid are: Conference USA, Mid American Conference, MWC, Sun Belt, and WAC. The confrences that don't get a automatic bid are often called non-BCS conferences. The non-BCS conferences are dominated almost every year by Tulsa (Conference USA), TCU (MWC), BYU (MWC), Utah (MWC), and Boise State (WAC). Every year these teams do good. They do as good or better as the top BCS team. They never get to show it. Utah did it this year, but TCU and Boise State deserved to make it to a BCS bowl too. Why can't we have a play off system? Take the top 16 teams and have them earn a championship. Why not? Because the BCS says so, that's why. Come on give the little guys a chance. BCS in my book means beyond common sense.

My name is Stephen and I hate the BCS. I like Boise State so there might be more on Boise State then any other non-BCS team.It's not football season so there is not much I can say about how bad the BCS is. I have a friend who might start a blog like this. He might just tell me what to write through email though. We are making a web site about it. We have started it but probably we won't have it out for a while.
